An entire flock of birds is entrapped by war in the same way that whole nations are, whether or not individual citizens agree with government decisions that send them into battle. Grasping hands and upside down heads swirls in an inescapable Chaos."War Birds" is a portrait of fear and annihilation on the brink of death. Huong reprises an element seen in other paintings in the series-- a yellow line as a unifying force. Birds and humans are being sucked into a disorienting vortex with emergence in doubt.
