TITLE: Red Rain
DESCRIPTION: Mixed Media 40"x78"
PRICE: N.A.
In Red Rain, the theme of family, love and maternity appear, but this time conceived and realized from the perspective of the disasters of war. As a front line witness and actor of that drama, huong penetrates, with tremendous sensiblity and strength, the human and psychological dimensions of war from the perspective which she calls "woman's vision".

Huong's work acquires a tragic tone of warning from the one who experienced terror and death. In works like "Red Rain", the quietness of compositional equilibrium characteristic in the work of this artist, cedes its place to a forceful vigor which transmits the sensation of dizziness produed by war. Concurrently, the use of color also varies. The pleasant vibrant colors and the refined textures are substituted by an expressive treatment of the red- a clear symbol of war, by a simpler conception of tones and by a more austere game of colors.
