A new museum's first exhibit makes a friend of horror

'News' general coverage of May 8 rally was pitiful. The picture that the News chose for coverage of the "Mothers Stand for Peace" in Jensen Beach on Saturday, May 8, was ridiculous. Hundreds of people participated in this peace demonstration and one of the major components of the event was about the art. Huong , the artist, created 200 signs to convey the message. What did the News do? Cropped the picture so that the art was eliminated. And the only written coverage of the event was 2 1/2 lines of print under the picture. (Of course, you did manage to print an extensive story about people trying to get on a dumb reality show, The Bachelor.)

I urge readers of the News to visit Huong's museum in downtown to see her art and her important statements of peace and love. This is an awesome place, open every day except Monday; free admission. We should all be proud to have such a museum in Jensen Beach and our local paper should support the project and its activities.
